Thanks for your feedback, it helps us improve the site. In reply to A. User’s post on January 11, Thank you for your quick response. I had tried the fix-it before but this time it worked!
I was able to install I thought the office disc and thought all was well. However, now I can’t open anything by left clicking the start button, even though it does turn blue, and right clicking gives me the usual options. Also, I no longer have the Microsoft Edge icon on my taskbar and it seems to have disappeared altogether, as has the office installation. I opened programs and features and even though it completely installed its not in the list of programs.
In other words I am much worse of now than before. My main reason for installing the office program was, because I had it and because it was my hope that Mail and Calendar would work through Windows 10 since none of the workarounds have made them work and it appears it’s becoming a none-issue for the techs, but not the customers. No disrespect intended. Any help is appreciated! In reply to res0sxus’s post on January 11, Hi, Glad to know you were able to install Office successfully.
Thank you. User’s post on January 12, I was unable to get any office functions to open. I did a system restore and the apps and start button work again but I had to uninstall the Office program.
The only way to check my mail is through outlook. I will try to reinstall the office program one more time to see if that will work now.
