But if you’re a beginner, and you’re native language is English, you will run into terms that are NOT used in the US version of Photoshop.

And some of the writing is probably literally translated from the authors’ native language – which I presume is not English. In some places, it sounds awkward. Here are a few examples: -Every layer has two cases to one side that show if the layer is unmistakable, chosen, or connected.

It’s been about 7 years since I’ve used Photoshop, so this was a good refresher. I even learned a few new things I didn’t know before. The screenshots were a great reference; I wish there were more in the second half of the book. Still, the written directions are very good. I give it 4 stars. This book on Photoshop is really thorough and gave lots of really great information. I’m creating some graphic materials for my sister’s baby shower and needed some guidance on how to get a few specific things done, and this book had exactly what I needed and much more.

Highly recommended. Only 13 very very small images of extreme poor quality in black and white and only visible with magnifying loupe.
