Microsoft office professional plus 2016 install visio free download

When I attempt to install Visio, I am given a message that Click-to-Run installers are not supported where a Windows Installer based Office application is already installed. The exact message is shown below:. What can I do, within the constraints of the downloads available on my level of MSDN subscription, to install Office Professional and Visio Professional on my computer?

Yes, I am aware of this article about click-to-run and windows installer on same computer which is roughly describing the issue I am having, but let me state again: Office Professional Plus was installed from an MSDN ISO and I am attempting to install Visio Professional from an MSDN iso; neither of these are click-to-run installations. That being said, any help or support I can get on this would be greatly appreciated.

If there is more information I can provide to clarify my issue, I will be happy to do so. The error message you are getting is a known issue. You cannot have bot MSI version and Click to run on the same computer.

I received an email from the Microsoft Community Team asking if my question had been answered, which I don’t feel it has here, or in the Office IT Pro forum version so I am posting another reply for further help as advised. More information about the issue such as confirming that the versions of Office Professional Plus and Visio Professional I am using are both MSI installed based, not click-to-run can be found in the above linked thread.

Any further suggestions as to the cause of this issue, and more importantly a resolution, would be greatly appreciated. Did you find any workaround that does not imply uninstalling Office and reinstalling it after Visio ? Unfortunately I wasn’t able to find any workaround.
